Responsibilities:
Supports the Project Managers in delivery of projects in accordance with company and project procedures and the Contract.
Ensure that the Project Quality and Safety systems have been implemented in accordance with company and corporate policy and objectives.
To manage and maintain a pro-active safety attitude and culture within the team.
Ensure that engineering and design activities are of a quality to meet the required standards and are produced in a timely and cost effective manner.
To ensure that all project requirements are fully and effectively applied to the engineering design workscope.
To ensure compliance and alignment of all activities with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies.
To provide coaching and support towards the development of Engineers/Designers within the Engineering team as appropriate.
Ensure lessons learned sessions are conducted.
Ensure continuous improvements are made.
Coordinate engineering resource planning & allocation.
Maintain systems & procedures to ensure a high standard of technical integrity in all projects.
Is accountable for the Engineering budget and for reporting to the Project Management Team with progress
Requirements:
Minimum experience requirements are 15 years relevant Design experience in an oil & gas/FPSO project environment.
Degree in Engineering.
At least three years in a similar position of management on an Oil & Gas/FPSO FEED Project.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Adaptability, initiative and problem solving capability.
Must possess people management and leadership skills, have a strong commercial awareness and experience of implementing company safety and quality management systems.
Ability to work under pressure in an environment which expects the highest levels of customer service, confidentiality and ethical behaviour.
Requires to be highly motivated, capable of managing interfaces between the Design Team, Construction, Operations, etc.
