Responsibilities:
Must be prepared to work in Design Office or Site Office which may be local or overseas
Carry out engineering duties such as feasibility studies, cost estimation, basic design, detailed design, specification writing and drawings, tender evaluation and contractor documents and drawings review for approval
Coordinate with project team, customers and contractors on all engineering and project activities to ensure that the project is executed in a timely and cost effective manner
Assist Project Manager in all phases of a project and may have to take the role of Contract Coordinator or Lead
Engineer when required
Prepare erection and commissioning activities and procedures, supervise the erection/installation, testing and commissioning of engineering systems carried out by the Contractors including coordination with site team, customer and contractors until project completion
May have to assist the Resident Engineer to monitor, control and coordinate activities carried out by the Contractors.
For small projects, may have to take the role of the Resident Engineer
Requirements:
Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering recognized by the PEB, Singapore
Minimum 7 years’ relevant working experience in design, erection and commissioning of thermal power plants and combined cycle power plants
Experience in detailed engineering of field instrumentation, control schemes, protection systems, sequence logics, safety classification and implementation
Experience in detailed design of control systems such as PLC, DCS and safety system
Experience in Microstation and InTools will be an advantageous
Candidates with relevant experience in oil, coal and gas fired power plants will be advantageous
