Responsibilities:
Directs and leads workers engaged in construction activities.
Interfacing with other disciplines to produce viable design
Technical supervision of project designated structural designers and draftspersons in the execution of their duties
Working within the provisions and guidelines of the quality management system relevant to projects
Knowledge in the areas of dynamic loading and resistance, collapse analysis, fatigue analysis, fire and explosion design, reliability based analysis and dropped object will be advantageous
Hands on experience of international codes and standards
Go through project design submission and review compliance with the applicable design codes and standards
Get familiar with the construction practice, method statements and safety procedures
Assist in planning, design checks and calculations
Analyzes and plans installation and construction of equipment and structures.
Witness site works test and inspection
Supervises and coordinates activities of construction trades workers.
Records information, such as personnel, production, and operational data, on specified forms and reports.
Trains workers in construction methods and operation of equipment.
Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the relevant Quality Assurance system
Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices. Understand and follow OH&S procedures
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Minimum 5 years’ design experience in design of offshore structures or FPSOs
Proficient with offshore structural design codes, analysis softwares and Microsoft Excel
Strong team player and proactive
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Good working knowledge of international codes/ standards, welding practices, WPS/ WPQ etc.
