Responsibilities:
Ensure that contractors comply with all aspects of the Worksite HSE Plan and policy; site regulations, permit to work and Client requirements.
Supervise total instrumentation and control systems construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule; includes interfacing with client representatives, other contractors, etc.
Detailed planning, coordination and interfacing of construction activities within a continuous operating plant environment.
Resolves problems and difficulties encountered or elevates it to the appropriate supervisory personnel.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction contractors.
Ensure by leadership and guidance that contracted works meets all practical, commercial, requirements of productivity, quality and contract target completions.
Maintain daily supervisory surveillance checks and records ensuring that contractor’s management and supervision are providing safe working conditions and permitting procedures, all required competent personnel, protective equipment, adequate supervision and manpower, with reliable, well maintained equipment to execute the contracted works as per contract schedule and targets.
Ensure that all quality control checks and tests are instigated, with records maintained and available and area release in accordance with contractors ITP.
Ensure practical security and protection of the works and that all contractors’ provisions for temporary plant are fit for purpose.
Agree method statements and JHA's.
Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the agreed method statements.
Ensure that a risk assessment has been undertaken and agreed prior to commencement of any new type of work activity.
Maintain supervisory attendance at Tool Box talk and pre start meetings.
Attend Contractor progress meetings as required.
Promote and maintain Client and contractor best practice working relationships.
Requirements:
Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience.
10 + years experience in a similar role within a heavy industry/refinery construction environment;
Strong experience with development on HIMA, Provox, Triconex, ICS Triplex, modbus, Profibus, OPC and Foundation Field Bus Technology.
Strong commitment to safety
Demonstrated leadership abilities;
A strong customer and team focus.
Sound problem solving abilities
Excellent level of initiative
Ability to lead and direct other on construction projects
Live plant experience is required
