We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Learning and Development professional to join [Company] Human Resources group, as a member of the Organizational Effectiveness team. The successful candidate reports to the Team Lead, Diversity & Organizational Effectiveness and works to provide expertise and leadership in learning and development..
Responsibilities
In this role, you will have an opportunity to build upon your experience and knowledge while you undertake the following responsibilities:
· Conduct research and educate colleagues, clients, Managers, etc on learning as a current and future organizational initiative;
· Conduct appropriate client needs assessment and analysis in order to recommend current and ongoing learning solutions;
· Identify, recommend, develop and/or acquire, and implement suitable products and programs, including e-learning, based on determined needs that includes: learning objectives, course material, testing criteria, evaluation processes;
· Provide expertise and oversee strategies for tracking, managing and reporting skills within the organization;
· Determine and recommend which products/services are best provided through outside vendors; negotiate and manage contracts with external service providers;
· Develop and maintain systems to evaluate overall initiative and substantiate cost-effectiveness of programs; develop and maintain appropriate methods to capture and manipulate training/learning records;
· Provide expertise on the most effective methods and strategies for deploying web-based learning products, curriculum programs and services;
· Create and maintain partnerships with internal clients and contacts to initiate and support the implementation of new learning technologies (e.g., HRIS, IT).
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- A university degree, or equivalent, together with
- A minimum 5 years of directly related experience which includes needs assessment, adult learning principles, design and delivery of learning courses, strong facilitation skills, on-line assessments/tools, on-line learning methodologies, skills and competency tracking
- Proven ability to build internal and external network contacts; ability to negotiate with vendors/suppliers
- Knowledge of web-based training, support tools and systems and SAP
- Experience with IT protocols in large organizations is preferred
- Knowledge of SAP Training and Events and Personnel Development modules
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
