Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the Contracts Manager works in close liaison with the Project Manager and in strict accordance with the Project’s commercial philosophy.
The methodology includes constant contact with the senior members of the Commercial Team and Project Management Team (“PMT”) and, through Project Controls, with Planning, Progress Reporting and Cost Control.
Maintain the Project Manager and the PMT fully up-to-date with advice on the contractual rights and responsibilities affecting their respective functions, this is not only ahead of the progress of the Project but also as to past causes and present consequences and the applicable contractual solutions.
Maintain oneself fully u-to-date with incoming communications with the client and provide comment and counsel to the PMT.
Assist the Project Manager and the PMT directly with all outgoing correspondence to Client, including actively(re-) drafting it as
necessary so as to ensure its compliance with contractual obligations and/-or with commercial relationships.
Ensure that the PMT has a proper level of contractual awareness, as to both rights and responsibilities. Initiate has the issuance of formal, contractual Notices to the Client, omitting one.
Raise Change Order Request early and co-ordinate the preparation of and submit quickly the related Price Proposals. Pursue the same early agreement.
Maximize the celerity of inward cash flow: minimise the time taken to agree upon and to receive payment for the Final Account.
Requirements:
Degree in Business and administration, law, and/or engineering
5 years of working experience in the same role
High Degree of computer literacy and good general knowledge of IM tools
Proactive and positive to changes and challenges
