Description:
Drilling Optimization Engineers will receive training in petro physical, geophysical, geologic and geomechanical earth modeling using our Drillworks family of software products for real-time modeling projects. Working in our clients’ office locations and real-time centers throughout the world, we offer a closely knit community of technical professionals who provide continuing development and support. Requirements:
This is a mentally demanding position that requires 7+ years experience in field operations and a solid foundation in drilling engineering, rig operation, log measurements (GR, RES, DT, RHOB, POR, and PWD), mud logging and drilling operations.
Experience in Drilling Engineer, Well planning, Directional drilling, Torque and drag analysis, hydraulics calculation and optimization, ability to solve drilling problems and make actionable recommendation is a must. Experience in pore pressure and wellbore stability analysis is a plus. Knowledge of Well Planning software, like Wellplan and Compass is considered highly desirable.
Requires a 4-year degree in engineering, geology, or physics with a 3.0 GPA or better; must possess superior communication and PC skill and available to spend time away from home in client’s office environment.
