[Company] is currently seeking a Training and Development Advisor to be based in our Sherwood Park office.
Working towards [Company]’s Vision to become the “People’s Employer of Choice” and “Customer’s Service Provider of Choice”, the primary role of this position is to help [Company] produce training and employee/organizational development solutions that enable the development of a superior, well-trained, and productive workforce who are leaders in the oil and gas industry.
Reporting to the Training and Development Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
· Overseeing [Company]’s existing leadership programs including scheduling, tracking and reporting;
· Developing, designing and delivering customized training solutions for new programs and initiatives;
· Managing projects related to various organizational training, employee development, and organizational development initiatives;
· Teaching and Facilitating selected classes for [Company]’s Values Based Leadership program;
· Selecting appropriate external courses and resources for [Company] employees;
· Assisting with [Company]’s various internal Training Programs: participating in reviews, provide training support and guidance for trainees and supervisors;
· Assisting in planning, organizing and coordination of the annual Employee Engagement Survey;
· Training and coaching supervisors in the performance management process; serving as a resource for administration and evaluation;
· Creating Career Paths, Training Matrixes and Role Descriptions;
· Identifying resources for [Company] employees and the [Company] Library.
The following skills, experience, and qualifications are strongly recommended:
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Education (or equivalent) is encouraged; a specialization in Adult Education is preferred;
· Minimum of 3 years experience in facilitation, training or teaching in a business environment is also encouraged;
· Demonstrated experience designing and delivering courses and managing projects;
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;
· Self-motivated, with proven organizational skills;
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism with a customer service orientation;
· Experience facilitating groups/meetings is an asset;
· Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office is required;
· CHRP designation, or working towards one, is an asset.
