Primary focus
Provide engineering expertise in support of capital project development, conceptual and detailed design, as well as operational issues. The scope of practice is focused on the `least cost-fit for purpose' design and operation of terminals, tanks, piping manifolds, pressure relief systems and booster pumps for Liquids Pipelines in Canada and the USA.
Qualifications
- A minimum of four years of progressively responsible mechanical engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university or college.
- Registration as a professional engineer in Canada, preferably with APEGGA in Alberta is required.
- Ability to consistently solve technical problems as they arise and make decisions on how solutions will impact the immediate issue and the Liquids System as whole.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written forms.
- Strong written communications abilities, including good spelling and grammar are essential for this position.
- Strong capability to quickly learn tank and terminalling engineering principles. Exhibits desire to rapidly increase knowledge and experience in tanks and terminalling.
