Responsibilties:
Pre-Job equipment checks for operations and ensuring equipment is fit for purpose.
Pre- and post- job operations – repair, maintenance, tests and calibration, as required.
Perform and lead troubleshooting activities for all Mechanized/OverDrive System equipment, accessories and back-up equipment that fall into this scope.
Lead co-workers to maintain good standard of housekeeping in workshop and yard.
Involve in implementing corrective actions and programs to reduce non-conformances.
Identifying areas requiring improvement.
All duties as per TRS mechanized – Overdrive Technician Level 2
Participate in conducting rig surveys to ensure proper integration of Mechanized/OverDrive Systems onto the rig.
Operate OverDrive/Mechanized Systems, accessories, back-up equipments and TRS equipments relevant to the operation within client’s requirements and in compliance with TRS Work Instructions, Procedures and Competence System to maintain integrity of the client’s wells.
Order and track related equipment on a job-by-job basis for assigned rig.
Lead troubleshooting and repairs of OverDrive as well as conventional systems (inclusive of Mechanized Equipment if Mechanized Equipments are the prevailing equipment in the district).
Responsible for maintain, Rig up/ down, and function check of OverDrive/Mechanized Systems, accessories, back-up equipments and conventional TRS equipment relevant to the operation in compliance with TRS Work Instructions ensuring the equipment is operational.
Acts as Assistant Crew Chief on Jobs
Actively participate in the structuring of crews too keep an even balance of harmony and technical experience, ensuring that personnel with minimal experience operating equipment are supervised.
Perform supervision of TRS crews, and oversee the TRS operation on location, ensuring smooth running of operations and support crews if problems arise.
Responsible for Training, supervision, instruction, guidance, peer support and performance management of TRS employees in the Offshore/Onshore environment
Responsible for delegating tasks within the team as appropriate to team member’s competency level.
In compliance with Competency system, assess TRS Service technicians in lower levels and submitting specific assessment paperwork to the operations department for processing.
Responsible for the upkeep of own training and competency portfolio
Requirements:
Qualification covering competence objectives of a TRS Mechanized-
Overdrive Technician level 2
Full understanding of OCTG and running procedures
Working knowledge of conventional TRS equipment (and Mechanized Equipment if Mechanized Equipment is the prevalent equipment in the area)
Strong Mechanical and Hydraulic Systems aptitude to enhance basic troubleshooting
Able to service and maintain Power Equipments as well as handling equipments
Active involvement is EEP & QHSE systems
The ability to communicate with people at all levels - written, verbal and listening.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Good knowledge of electronics, computers and JAM Systems
Basic understanding of rig operations
Able to service and maintain Power Equipment
3 years Tubular Running Services experience
Ability to work under own initiative (with supervision) or as part of a team
Understanding of drilling technologies especially Drilling/reaming with Casing
Knowledge of Mechanical /Hydraulics concepts and mathematics, and English.
Offshore survival certificate
Ability to create positive change and focus on continuous improvement
Strong Mechanical-electronic-Hydraulic aptitude.
