Responsibilities:
Provide geological support for the operated developments.
Support new business development, exploration and outside operated developments in their geographic area of responsibility.
Develop a thorough geological understanding and description of the various fields and the relevant reservoir properties and characteristics.
Construct appropriate geological models and play a key role in the development of dynamic reservoir models.
Provide key input into the field volumetrics and reserve estimates and ensuring these are appropriately maintained.
Select, optimise, plan and assist in the drilling of new wells.
Provide geological support during drilling operations and supervise corresponding contracts/contractors.
Maintain appropriate databases and assist in the preparation of annual budgets and reserves reporting.
Update field interpretations from evaluation of well log data, whole cores and other new well data.
Candidate
Requirements:
Geological experience.
Knowledge of carbonate and/or fractured reservoirs would be an advantage.
Experience/knowledge of 3D geocellular modelling techniques is desirable.
A working knowledge of seismic interpretation.
Degree(s) in geology.
