Responsibilities:
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with the objective of optimising the production offtake from their allocated fields.
Interpret and evaluate well performance, identify enhancements and optimisation strategies to maximise value and recovery.
Provide petroleum/reservoir engineering support for the multi rig well programme.
Conduct nodal analysis, develop/maintain integrated GAP or FORGAS models of the reservoir and infrastructure.
Evaluate the data from all well tests and quality control of same. Perform monthly allocation of production from the wells.
Manage and maintain daily/monthly reporting and production forecast models.
Interpret well performance from tests, from THP/BHP pressures etc and evaluate the performance of simulation activity.
Conduct reservoir engineering support for the assets, including analytical techniques, eg material balance, reservoir simulation.
A key responsibility will be to update the field development plans and reserve estimates.
Work in conjunction with the operations and facilities groups to optimise the overall field performance.
Requirements:
Relevant reservoir/production engineering experience.
A thorough understanding of reservoir and production engineering issues is required.
Considerable experience in running Prosper/GAP/FORGAS, well test, simulation, matBal etc software or similar is required.
Familiarity with gas field development/production would be an advantage.
A degree level qualification in petroleum engineering or an equivalent.
