Job Description
 
  • Implements and coordinates policies and programs covering several of the following: recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, employee and labor relations, and personnel research for a defined area(s). 
  • Provides HR consulting expertise to all levels of management and employees within Baker Hughes.    
  • Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of issues and resolves through a systematic and analytical approach 
  • Assures compliance with all applicable laws and corporate policies/guidelines and identifies opportunities to develop and implement new practices/guidelines to achieve business goals;  
  • Implements organizational HR initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness, including performance management systems (compensation, mid-year and year-end reviews),     
  • Ensures that all HR administrative functions are handled in an accurate and timely manner.    
  • Assists in establishing policies and procedures including disciplinary policies and monitor their application and enforcement to ensure fairness and consistency.    
  • Advises, reviews and approves any disciplinary issues/concerns performance issues, discharge.  Provide guidance to managers with regards to salary administration, recruitment, selection, etc.    
  • Resolves internal employee complaints and those filed with federal, state and local agencies involving employment practices. 
  • Handles special projects as assigned.
 
Skill Requirements:
 
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills;
  • Solid PC skills; SAP HR a plus;
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and teaming skills;
  • Proven leadership and issue resolution skills.
  • Candidate will possess the ability to operate in a high growth, high turnover, fast paced, and high performance environment.
  • Bachelor Degree required. 
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Human Resources. 
  • PHR/SPHR Certification preferred but not required.
