Responsibilities:
Provision of Health and Safety support, advice and guidance to the project and contractor teams;
Reviewing and Auditing of Contractors Health and Safety Management System in Perth and worksites (independently or as a member of a combined Contractor audit team) to ensure compliance with both the Contractors and Woodside’s Health and Safety Management System;
Collation and analysis of Health and Safety performance data at worksites and project level and providing feedback to worksites and project management team as necessary on areas for improvement or to highlight best practice;
Monitoring of Contractor and performance against project Health and Safety objectives, key performance indicators and targets which have been defined within Project Health and Safety Management Plans;
Provide input to Contractor facilitated HAZID workshops to ensure that the hazard management process being applied is both effective and robust;
Work with Contractors prior to site mobilisation or work scope execution to ensure that the output from HAZID’s has been implemented and actions closed to ensure identified hazards are being effectively managed with associated risks reduced to ALARP;
Develop and deliver Health and Safety training material as required, to improve the awareness, knowledge and skills of the Pluto LNG Project Team;
Review and comment and Contractor Health and Safety Management System documentation ensuring there is alignment with the Pluto Project Health and Safety Management System;
Participate in the project Behavioural Safety Programme through workshops, training and performance measurement;
Leading or participating in incident investigation teams, conducting root causes analysis in accordance with project Incident Investigation requirements and tools (Taproot);
Conduct regular reviews with project Activity Centres and Contractor Management representatives to monitor progress of project Health and Safety Verification Plans;
Assist in monitoring Health and Safety progress against agreed deliverables; and
Undertake other activities as directed by the Senior Onshore and Offshore Health and Safety Advisors.
Requirements:
Crucial to success in this role are clear communication style and the ability to engage with stakeholders.
Your H&S skills are likely to have been developed over at least 5 years in health and safety (ideally including oil and gas or major projects).
Formal H&S Qualifications and experience of heavy onshore construction will be viewed favorably.
Candidates with tertiary qualifications in Applied Science safety / Risk, who are Certified Health and Safety Systems Auditors; and Workplace Trainer / Assessors will be highly regarded.
This role is Perth based, but will require times of business travel to site
