Responsibilities:
Assessment and interpretation of tender specifications
Formulate design solutions to the required specifications
Conduct technical presentations
Responsible for design control and planning and scheduling of engineering activities
Participate and support engineers on product design and development, including associated activities
Design modelling and layouts;
Writing in-plant and field testing procedures;
Writing operating and maintenance procedures;
Perform detail engineering and creation of production drawings.
Perform Interface Management to ensure proper and professional hand offs between all interfacing suppliers.
Coordinate with Suppliers to anticipate and address all possible operational issues.
Perform in-plant equipment tests on equipment and document results.
Participate in field trips to assist in the installation, operation and/or trouble shooting of equipment malfunctions
Participate in design reviews
Evaluate and recommend disposition on non-conforming production items
Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
Requirements:
Basic engineering degree in mechanical disciplines eg Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Engineering etc.
Strong technical experience in mechanical engineering.
Experience or knowledge of oilfield operations, preferred.
Knowledge and proficiency in CAD and Analysis softwares will be an advantage.
Logical and strong analytical thinking
Good spoken and writing skills
