Key Responsibilities:
 
·         Assists Brantford Customer Contact Management Team with management of short-term disability claims and maintains the integrity of statistical absence information.
 
·         Maintains integrity of the HRMS software, initiating and coordinating employee profile changes on behalf of Managers.
 
·         Prepares and maintains confidential information.
 
·         Directs employees to appropriate self-service resources, while assisting as needed to resolve specific inquiries regarding payroll, progressions, transfers, pension, vacation, benefits, etc.
 
·         Effectively administers and communicates Company Human Resource policies and practices, in conjunction with the collective agreement as applicable.
 
·         Facilitates the implementation of Corporate Human Resource process and policy changes, and work design initiatives, ensuring understanding among employees and the Brantford Customer Contact Management Team.
 
·         Acts as a resource to Brantford Customer Contact Management in recruitment of new staff.
 
·         Provides general administrative support to the Brantford Customer Contact Management Team, including those of a sensitive and confidential nature.
 
·         Other duties as required.
 
Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
 
·         Post Secondary diploma in a Human Resources related field of study, or equivalent/ Human Resource Certificate is preferred.
 
·         Basic knowledge of Employment related legislation and Salary and Benefit Administration.
 
·         Demonstrated ability to operate in an environment of trust and confidentiality.
 
·         Excellent communication skills.
 
·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 
·         Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective management of relationships with various client groups.
 
·         Demonstrated proficiency in PC applications: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
