Job Description
[Employer] is seeking a talented individual for the position listed below. Chesapeake, an Oklahoma City-based company, is the largest independent producer of natural gas in the U.S. We are also the most active driller of new wells in the U.S. and one of the leading consolidators of onshore U.S natural gas assets. Our operations are focused on exploratory and developmental drilling, and corporate and property acquisitions in the Mid-Continent, Permian Basin, South Texas, Texas Gulf Coast, Barnett Shale, Ark-La-Tex and Appalachian Basin regions of the United States. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated team players and possess excellent interpersonal skills. A high degree of analytical ability and excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary for success in our fast-paced and rewarding environment.
The IT Field Specialist role is to support and maintain assets, analyze business systems and process in support of the field. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve field systems issues in order to maximize the benefits gained from investments in technology for the field personnel and systems. Additionally, tasks will include installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading all corporate hardware and equipment while ensuring its optimal performance. Under supervision design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks including routers, hubs, switches, UPS's, and other hardware.
Qualifications
2 year technical degree and at least 1 year of relevant work experience or 3 years of relevant work experience. A+ and Network + certifications required. Experience with Oil and Gas industry preferred, including meters, flow computers, SCADA, telemetry, etc. MCDST, MCSA, HDI Field Systems Technician and CCNA preferred. Working technical knowledge of programming languages such as but not limited to VB, C++, etc. Working knowledge of network and PC operation systems, including Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. Frequent travel to geographic areas required.
