Responsibilities:
Responsible for receiving internal & external calls & onpassing to the appropriate person.
Ensuring that all calls are answered timeously & politely.
Ensuring that tannoy is used in case of urgent calls/messages as opposed to voice mail.
Responsible for greeting all visitors to the site in a courteous & efficient manner.
Ensuring that all visitors are issued with a visitor’s pass & that this is returned when they leave the site.
Ensuring that the Reception area is maintained in a tidy fashion.
Responsible for issuing swipe cards to authorised personnel.
Ensuring that swipe cards are deleted from the system when an employee leaves the Company.
Filing, invoice coding and other support function tasks as required.
Responsible for operating within the requirements of the Region HS&E and QA Programmes.
General administrative duties to other departments as an when required
General ad-hoc duties
Requirements:
Proficient in Meridian switchboard system
Skills in the use of Microsoft Office
Good communication skills
Team player orientated
Numerate & literate
Methodical & accurate
HND or equivalent
Experience of using Microsoft Office packages
typing skills
Some experience in previous receptionist roles
Experience of providing general ad-hoc administrative
Good telephone manner
