Responsibilities:
Both lead and participate in project teams.
Assist in the preparation of proposals, contract documentation and technical specifications.
Liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants concerning the investigation, design, installation or construction and commissioning of assigned work.
Participate in the planning of projects as required.
Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to our Infrastructure.
Responsible for personal safety and safe working practices for WorleyParsons Infrastructure. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
Requirements:
Ability to communicate with a high level of competence in reports and presentations to staff and clients.
Active in the geotechnical community, nationally or internationally.
Enthusiastic about developments in engineering geology, and capable of working at an advanced level.
Experience in geological mapping and presentation of geological information for engineering purposes.
Prepared to work on site or offshore for short periods of time.
Experience in identifying construction materials.
The ability to work independently to deliver complete geotechnical solutions, as well as be part of a multidisciplinary team when required.
Previous experience in scoping, planning and executing site investigations, geotechnical interpretations and reporting for major resource projects in the hydrocarbons, mineral processing, power, water and heavy civil infrastructure industries.
Bachelor degree in Geology with some vacation work experience
