Responsibilties:
With the assistance of the Project Team, develop and implement the SCM strategy for the duration of the project.
Establish, maintain and manage the project procurement status report.
Participate in the management of the approved supplier database .
Foster strong supplier and subcontractor relationship.
Compile, issue, evaluate and award all project major subcontracts and procurement packages.
Complete comprehensive tender evaluations and subsequent award recommendations to ensure the project obtains the lowest priced (full life cycle costing) technically acceptable solution whilst not compromising safety or quality.
Supplier/subcontractor post award management.
Requirements:
Minimum diploma in an Engineering discipline
At least 5-10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry preferably in subsea
Strong contractural understanding of indemnities, liabilities, insurance, liquidated damages, forced majeure, etc
Strong negotiation skills
Commercially astute - understand the importance of full life cycle costing
Extensive experience in tendering, from request for quotation to evaluation to award to subcontractor/suplier management
Possess a sound technical knowledge of the oil & gas/engineering/subsea field
Possess good interpersonal, communication, leadership and networking skills
A team player
Performance goal driven, responsible and actively monitor progress and provides supportive feedback
