Key Deliverables of Subject Position’s Group:
 
Internet Gateway Support/Administration:
 
·         Support/Administer Servers and Equipment providing Internet connectivity
 
·         Install and Patch Internet Servers and Equipment
 
·         Provide technical support and design for upgrades to Internet Servers and Equipment
 
Firewall Administration & Operations:
 
·         Troubleshoot and Maintain Security of Firewalls
 
·         Patch/Upgrade Firewalls as needed
 
·         Implement new Firewall rules and configurations
 
·         Provide status updates on Firewalls
 
Proxy Server Administration & Operations:
 
·         Troubleshoot and Maintain Security of Proxy Servers
 
·         Patch/Upgrade Proxy Servers as needed
 
·         Implement new Proxy Server rules and configurations as ever evolving environment requires
 
·         Provide status updates and Reports on Internet use.
 
VPN Administration & Operations:
 
·         Troubleshoot and Maintain VPN Hardware and Software
 
·         Patch/Upgrade VPN Servers as needed
 
·         IDS, (Intrusion Detection System), Administration & Operations:
 
·         Troubleshoot and Maintain IDS Servers
 
·         Patch/Upgrade IDS Servers as needed
 
·         Provide Reports on Intrusion Attempts
 
Remote User Support:
 
·         Support a wide variety of users connecting to Aera.
 
·         Must have end-to-end diagnostic skills
 
·         Administration of other windows and other IP connected devices, (Cisco, radio, telecomm, video) as necessary to deliver a reliable and available network.
 
·         Design, update and complete business and technical controls and preventative maintenance tasks that assure a proactive approach to assuring a reliable, available and secure network.
 
·         Be on call and responsive to after hours and as needed network and technical support necessary to support a 24x7 operation.
 
Skills:
 
·         Strong customer service skills and orientation, to a wide array of Users both internal and external to the company.
 
·         Strong technical working knowledge of firewalls, proxy servers, VPN, IP and Internet connection methods
 
·         Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills.
 
·         Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
 
·         Some project and team leadership experience/skills
 
·         Security Certification a plus
 
·         Knowledge of Citrix a plus
 
·         Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Products a plus
 
·         Knowledge of LINUX a plus
 
·         Knowledge of Cisco equipment a plus
 
·         Microsoft or Cisco certifications of network and system administration
 
·         Familiarity with Lean and Process Improvement techniques and processes
 
·         Familiarity with ITIL or MOF or equivalent operations frameworks and process based Infrastructure operations a plus
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
 
·         Administration of a variety of network, firewall/VPN, and system operations
 
·         Create clients
 
·         Perform upgrades of software
 
·         Review of logs
 
·         Troubleshoot issues
 
·         Architect system solutions
 
·         Create and maintain procedures and documentation where needed for CI
 
·         Participate in recovery drills and exercises (DRP)
 
·         Perform other computing administration tasks as necessary
 
·         Actively participate in a collaborative team environment
 
·         Will involve after hours duties
 
·         Participate in On-call paging duty
 
Critical Skills and Knowledge:
 
·         Microsoft MCSA, Cisco CNA, Security CISSP
 
·         Windows Desktop Security principles and practices
 
·         Familiar with establishing and reporting process metrics
 
·         Windows office products, (Word, Excel, Power Point etc)
 
·         Windows server security principles and practices
 
·         Familiarity with Lean, MOF, ITIL, or Six-Sigma process improvement and operations framework a plus
