Job Description
[Employer] is inviting applications for the position of Materials Scientist in its Materials and Inspection group located in Bartlesville, OK. [Employer] is an integrated oil and gas Fortune 500 company known for its innovative technology. The position will involve technical service and technology development work in support of projects and operations in North American and International oil and gas projects. [Employer] is involved in research and development projects in North America, the UK, and Norway.

Qualifications
MS or PhD in Materials Science/Engineering
5+ years of industry experience
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions
Technical expertise should include the following as fundamental knowledge with practical experience: selection of specialized metallurgy depending on use conditions, failure modes and analysis, corrosion/erosion control, mill and inspection processes, and materials of construction.
Frequent travel may be required to [Employer] Houston Center and to the operating business units
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of destructive and non-destructive inspection techniques
Above average written communication for concise and timely research and technical service documentation
Effective oral communication to interface with group members and project teams
