Responsibilities:
Provides engineering assistance to superintendents, directs assigned personnel in meeting cost and time schedules, verifies materials, equipment, workmanship and assures results meet design requirements.
Leads construction engineers in a broad range of construction engineering work within a specific engineering discipline for a particular area of the project.
May act as Project Field Engineer on a moderate sized project.
On a large job, functions as a lead discipline engineer, coordinating all related discipline activities and interfacing with other areas/disciplines on the job.
On a medium to small job, performs the duties of a lead engineer in either an area, coordinating and directing a variety of disciplines, or as a Project Field Engineer or Project Field Quality Control Engineer, coordinating all activities related to the operation of the assigned operating section.
Heavy involvement with Gas Compressors and Turbines on the new AGD- II Gas Processing Facility
Provides supervision for a team of Mechanical Field Engineers and QC Inspectors.
Supervises construction mechanical engineering activities of the assigned construction engineering staff for work executed on AGD-II new site and inside the existing facilities at AGD-I.
Coordinates with the Superintendents and Subcontractors to plan construction schedules.
Directs the preparation of requisitions for field procured materials, material substitution, services and equipment. Reviews material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials.
Coordinates Subcontract activities to ensure materials, equipment and workmanship comply with design plans and specifications.
Plans and recommends procedures to be implemented by Superintendents to assure construction operations are with in requirements of engineering design and specifications.
Directs the maintenance of construction engineering records for job history. Supervises the receiving, distribution and filing of plans and specifications.
Works with Client’s resident engineering and operating personnel to coordinate construction activities.
Provides weekly update of actual progress made during the week for mechanical equipment accounts
Directs preparation of cost estimates for construction activities and coordinates the preparation of cost reports, forecast and progress reports.
Implements controls over variables affecting job progress to ensure engineering and procurement provide timely delivery of drawings, materials and equipment and that other corporate services are fully utilized.
Coordinates with the Field Subcontract Administrator on contract administration, and activities affecting the contract administration operation.
Reviews major subcontract changes and represents in major contractual discussions and negotiations.
Performs personnel evaluation for subordinate personnel.
Ensures that subordinate personnel receive progressive training.
Aditional Information:
Length of assignment: 12 MONTHS
Middle East experience preferred.
Previous experience with Gas Compressors and Turbines installation on an Oil, Gas, Petrochemical Plant required.
