Requirements:
Leads construction engineers in a broad range of construction engineering work within a specific engineering discipline for a particular area of the project.
Provides engineering assistance to superintendents, directs assigned personnel in meeting cost and time
schedules, verifies materials, equipment, and quality and assures results meet design requirements.
On a large project, functions as a lead discipline engineer, coordinating related discipline activities and interfacing with other areas/disciplines on the jobsite.
On a small to medium-sized project, performs the duties of a lead engineer in an area, coordinating and directing a variety of disciplines, or performs the duties as a Project Field Engineer or Project Field Quality Control Engineer coordinating activities related to the operation of the assigned operating section of the jobsite.
Reports directly to the Field Engineering Manager and supervises a small team of Engineers and Certification Officers in preparing, filing and storing of MC Packages.
Monitors the construction progress in order to update Pre-commissioning work
Updates the Completions database on the status of document submittals and completion
Updates and issues reports from the Punch list database
Expedites signatures as required to achieve MC package completion
Provides regular Management reports on MC status
Chairs regular meetings on MC and Punch list status
Coordinates with the Commissioning Manager on issues that affect
Mechanical Completion.
Coordinates the System Walk downs with the assigned System Owners.
Understanding of Inspection and Test Plans and Quality documentation
such as Non Conformance reports, etc.
Requirements:
Knowledge of how to interpret general engineering documents such as
P&IDs and One-line diagrams
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent
hands-on experience
