Responsibilities
· develop process pressure and non-pressure storage equipment inspection work plans
· work with operations and maintenance to proactively plan and schedule routine in-service, maintenance turnaround and opportune equipment inspections
· Periodically perform and/or coordinate Magnetic Particle Examination Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Examination Testing (PT) and Ultrasonic Examination Testing (UT) as part of the integrity management program and equipment inspection work plans
·
· work with operations, maintenance and technical support departments to identify and assist in the resolution of operating facilities technical deficiencies as identified through scheduled routine and maintenance turnaround inspections
· Assist in the development and implementation of approved repair procedures
· Identify, follow up, and track the progress of resolutions related to nonconformances and inspection deficiencies
· Work with operations and maintenance personnel to ensure adequate understanding and implementation of the Pressure Equipment Integrity Management program through training and participation in internal audits to verify program implementation and effectiveness
· Participate, and in some cases coordinate, compliance audits of maintenance and service contractors. [e.g. welding, Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) servicing, coating, Non-destructive Examination (NDE)]
· Perform day-to-day communication with local jurisdictional authorities for pressure equipment, piping and tank repairs, and alterations
· develop and maintain all quality and inspection records, utilizing our client's SAP data management systems
Qualifications
· Minimum of 5 - 10 years of quality assurance and integrity inspection experience in the oil and gas industry
· Possess knowledge in and experience with safe work practices in oil and gas production accompanied by a superior safety attitude
· Have an API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector Certification
· Be eligible for an Alberta In-service Pressure Vessel Inspector Certificate
· have a strong working knowledge of oil and gas industry codes, standards and jurisdictional regulations (ASME, API, EUB, CSA)
· Be knowledgeable in corrosion fundamentals and mitigation
· be able and willing to work in the field for periods of time which includes: extreme weather conditions, working in confined spaces and at heights in excess of 50 feet, flexible hours and travel.
· A valid driver's license is required.
The following qualifications/certifications would be an asset
· Certified Engineering Technologist, in a related discipline
· CSA W 178.2 Level II Welding Inspector
· CGSB Level 2 NDE Certification in PT, MT, UT plus interpretation of radiographs''''
· API 570 Piping Inspector Certificate
· API 653 Tank Inspector Certification
