Job Description
Provide internal staff with relevant pipeline domain knowledge in the areas of data management and integrity. Intention is to insure that internal staff understands client requirements so that projects are executed and delivered correctly.
Provide timely input on the design and development of pipeline industry software tools and services.
Investigate tools/techniques that improve data/GIS processes for our customers.
Mentor implementation and project staff on technical issues relevant to client's needs.
Analyze and understand complex GIS/Data Management issues that are paramount to the successful implementation of client solutions.
Pre-sales support, nationally and internationally.
Development and presentation of training materials both for internal staff and external clients.
The GIS Analyst position within the Solutions team provides technical support services to both the sales and project execution functions of the Integrity Services organization of PII.
This position mentors implementation and project management staff on data management/GIS related technical issues and software usage.
Provides support and guidance in the development of integrity and data management solutions for the pipeline industry.
Works with the PII sales and consultancy teams in the development of sales presentations, proof-of-concept solutions, responses to bids.
Qualifications
· BS degree in Computer Science or Geography (GIS technology).
· Minimum of one year experience in GIS (ESRI, Smallworld, Oracle Spatial, etc).
· Minimum of one year computer programming experience (C++, Arc Objects, VB, etc).
