Responsibilities:
Provides IT security and risk management related support services.
Responsible for performing periodic checks on systems and report results to ITTS Team Leader based on Risk Assessment and category level, carries out an internal audit of the information security function and advises on best practice on implementing effective procedures based on company policies and international standards. Ensures that adequate Information Security –training is developed, prompted and administered. Ensure that IT security related systems and properly maintained and administered. Example, corporate anti-virus, Firewall and Intrusion detection systems etc.
Ensure that the corporate network is adequately protected against threats (e.g., virus) by properly administering the corporate anti-virus systems.
Manage the “Perimeter” (i.e., Internet) security solutions, including the Firewall and intrusion Detection System. Review and investigate any incidents of attacks against the company.
Assists in performing forensic investigations as may required by other entities of the company.
Provide assistance of the information security function relative to using the computer’s security facilities.
Provide supervision of any technical and administrative personnel assigned to the computer security function. Assist in the acquisition of security software and equipment.
Examine the information security policies and procedures for compliance with state information security and risk management policies, standards and guidelines.
Assist in identifying vulnerabilities and the appropriate solutions to eliminate or minimize their potentials effects. Assist in developing and maintaining access control rules within the security software that provides control access in accordance with owner defined information access requirements.
Serve as a member of software review committee to evaluate new software and hardware systems.
Provide periodic reporting on information security issues.
Train any designated individuals to act as an ISO alternate, in case of emergency or absence.
Assist in ensuring that departments have fulfilled their security responsibilities.
Review new system design and major modification for security implications prior to implementation.
Plan and carry out IT security Risk analysis process.
Ensure that an adequate security training program is developed an administered.
Requirements:
B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information System Engineering or related discipline.
Certificated Information System Auditor (CISA). Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE).
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
In-depth technical knowledge, spanning a range of system security hardware and software products.
Excellent ability and the capability of training IT personnel as well Corporate Computing users.
Has Strategic perspective, flexibility, influence and persuasion.
Willingness to challenge existing practice.
Strong communication skills and proficient in making oral & written presentations and reports.
