Our client is a major international EPC company with several Oilsands and Mining projects underway.
An opportunity is available for a: ESTIMATOR
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing all levels of capital cost estimates from Order of Magnitude to detail
- Preparing and maintaining appropriate documentation to support estimate preparation and review
- Maintaining the estimating data base
- Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to support capital cost estimates
- Establishing good working relationships with staff, engineering discipline leads, department and project managers and clients
- Depending on current projects, leading and/or supervising junior estimating staff
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in estimating capital costs for Oil and gas/petrochemical projects
- An engineering degree or engineering technologist diploma is an asset
- Previous experience working with Timberline Estimating Software is an asset
- Effective organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently, accurately and maintain exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline oriented environment
- Ability to work independently in a multi-disciplinary team environment
