Responsibilities:
Operate tubing/casing manual and power tongs, power units, single joint compensator, handling equipment, bucking units, Fill UP & Circulating tools, Stabber less system and positioning devices and TRS equipment relevant to the operation within client's requirements and in compliance with TRS Work Instructions, Procedures and Competence System to maintain integrity of the client's wells
Responsible to maintain, Rig up/down, and function check of equipment described above and TRS equipment relevant to the operation in compliance with TRS Work Instructions ensuring the equipment is operational
Perform Visual inspection and assess the Quality of threaded Connections, accept or reject connections and judge the integrity of a connection
Select Correct TRS equipment for a specific Job, taking into consideration OCTG sizes, grades and weights limitations, and equipment availability
Responsible for checking all TRS equipment called off by client at our facility before it is shipped offshore paying particular attention to equipment of a specialised nature
Liaise with onshore support staff to ensure adequate equipment is available at the worksite to meet operational requirements
In compliance with Competency system assess TRS Service Technicians in lower levels and submitting specific assessment paperwork to the operations department for processing
Responsible for ensuring that all TRS equipment is returned to the facility highlighting any faults.
Any torque turn and other TRS equipment which is to remain onboard for future operations will be logged with the Client and detailed on the operation report and brought to the crew chief and customer coordinators attention
Any other delegated responsibilities as requested by your supervisor within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements
Being responsible for Training, supervision, instruction, guidance, peer support and performance management of TRS employees in the Offshore/Onshore environment
Being responsible for delegating tasks within the team as appropriate to team member's competency level
Being responsible for advising drill crew and support personnel of any potential safety hazards associated with equipment
Perform workshop duties, as required.
Requirements:
Full understanding of OCTG, limitations and characteristics
Thread Connection integrity
Able to perform full maintenance and advice spare parts inventory levels
Participate in EEP & QHSE activities and programs
Service, maintenance and inspecting critical parts of Handling equipment
Good working knowledge of TRS equipment & Systems
The ability to communicate with people at all levels - written and verbal basic conflict resolution skills
Ability to work under own initiative or as part of a team
Ability to create positive change and focus on continuous improvement
Understanding of cementing equipment
Knowledge in basic in Mechanical aptitude, Mathematics, Arithmetic and English
Offshore survival certificate
Being assessed and deemed competent as a TRS Service Technician Level 2
Technical College/Vocational Qualification
Field experience and competent to TRS Service Technician Level 3
Willing to assist the operation and coordinator departments during periods of vacation, sickness and when operational demands dictate
Willing to attend pre-spud and Wash-up meetings organised by the Client and feedback information to the onshore support team
Strong attention to detail

Able to work under tight time constraints and meet deadlines in a professional manner
Ability to work in a highly safety sensitive environment and complying with both Company and Client safety standards
