Responsibilities to include:
- Overseeing the Estimating team to create tender documents
- Provide detailed take-offs with labour & material pricing entries and extensions
- Maintaining active communication with all tendering authorities, including owners, architects and engineers
- Assist in establishing and pricing of indirect costs
- Provide information to support detailed scheduling
- Provide support to field operations regarding estimates /IFC s
- Work with cost codes, project productivity and project control systems
- Coordinate multidiscipline estimates
- Provide input to proposal documents
Qualification Requirements
- Post Secondary Education in either Mechanical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering, combined with more than 12 years estimating experience in the Oil & Gas/ Fabrication Industry on projects up to $15 million+ in value.
- The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fabrication/ module facility for Oilsands projects (preferrably multi-disciplined, but must have experience with Mechanical and Piping Estimating)
- Proven team leadership skills working in a multiple location environment
- Excellent time management and communication skill
- Ability to develop and maintain exceptional working relationships with trades and clients alike.
- Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Ability to travel as required
