Responsibilities:

Management of multi-discipline engineering activities and teams, requiring good overall knowledge of the key elements of subsea field developments
Independently evaluate, organise and prioritise work for self and others, following best engineering practices and maintaining high standards of technical excellence within the team
Responsible for developing a tender engineering plan and ensuring timely production and coordination of engineering deliverables
Liaison with region on agreed technical input and responsibilities
Review client tender documentation and produce technical clarifications, commercial and technical qualification list
Evaluate need and justification for external engineering support. Develop work scopes and management of any 3rd party design/ analysis subcontracts, schedule and cost
Produce the necessary engineering input for proposal in liaison with Gateway proposals group
Produce and manage development of CTR`s for engineering element of proposal.
Participate in tender negotiations with client and incorporating changes into final tender proposal
Supervise, develop, train and mentor junior engineers and engineering support staff assigned to the project


Requirements:

Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role
Ability to provide excellent written and oral communications
Produces work of presentable quality
Must be a team player
Client interfacing abilities
Deepwater pipe lay and construction experience preferred
Good organisational skills and smart working methods
Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level
University graduate in a relevant engineering discipline
Can articulate learning and training experiences
Demonstrable ability to work within time/ budget constraints
Deepwater pipelay and construction experience preferred
Technical knowledge of flowline & riser systems, subsea umbilical/ control systems and subsea structures
Deepwater pipe lay and construction experience preferred
Ability to prioritise own and others workload, manage time and change control accordingly and direct team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of programme budget
Team player with leadership qualities
Aberdeen – tendering for large scale subsea engineering design and construction projects/ tenders in partnership with regional business units (typically Africa, Brazil and GoM)
Must be physically fit for required position subject to reasonable adjustments
