Responsibilities:
Management of the tendering process in accordance with Business Management System (BMS).
Provide leadership, supervision and mentoring of the Proposal Engineers and Proposal Coordinators in the overall performance of their duties.
Assist in the pursuit of future business in accordance with BMS.
Organise workload of proposals team including assistance from supporting departments and within agreed budget(s).
Ensure accurate and economic costing of tenders and assessment of risk including competition/market trends.
Negotiate terms and conditions of tenders with Customers and Suppliers to achieve the best commercial and contractual positions with minimum exposure to risk.
Question, appraise, evaluate and improve the activities of the department.
Provide business planning and reporting assistance to the BA Manager
Management of performance for direct reports
Conduct lesson learned seminar post submission and post award/loss
Presentation
Personal Presentation:
Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role
Articulates views in comprehensive manner
Produces work of presentable quality and accuracy
Requirements:
Excellent client facing abilities
High level of Commercial and Contractual Skills, in particular negotiation of Contracts
Good organisational skills and smart working methods
Degree qualified (ideally in Quantity Surveying, Business Management, Law)
Consideration will be given to extensive work experience with HNC/HND qualifications in associated background
Relevant previous experience in supervisory capacity / similar environment
Can articulate learning and training experiences
Demonstrable experience in a similar role
Ability to prioritise own workload personally and for others
Demonstrable experience within a supervisory position within the oil and gas
Must be a team player with leadership qualities
Based in Westhill, global travel expectations
Must be physically fit for required position subject to reasonable adjustments
