Overview
Verify conformance to specifications of manufactured products using machine drawings, material certifications and other reference documents. Conduct audits of manufacturing operation to ensure conformance to specifications. Perform calibrations on QC tooling as required. Generate electronic, computer based forms to report deviations from specifications. Inspect complex machine parts to ensure conformance to engineering drawings.
Job Description
• Inspect Machined parts received from suppliers
• Report deviations in writing for review by Engineering
• Inspect/calibrate hand tools used by assembly personnel
• File quality documents accurately to ensure future retrieval
• Participate in troubleshooting to resolve part fitting problems in Manufacturing
• Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements and company policies of Weatherford.
• Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Qualifications
• Prefer a minimum of 2 years in quality control, manufacturing, and inspection.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of inspection processes.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and ability to read common measuring devices; tapes, micrometers, calipers, etc.
