Description:

Responsibilities:

As HSE Superintendent you will contribute to the development of HS&E Policy and practice as well as delivering HS&E Excellence for the company's worldwide offshore operations.
You will work within their Asset Delivery Team and will be dedicated to excellence in HSE performance and support.
Your focus will concentrate on delivery of support within the OOS organisation (Offshore Operations Service). 
Encouraging and promoting safety awareness throughout the company's operations both on and offshore, including operations at remote locations 
Rendering advice, guidance and information concerning safety, health and environmental issues, existing and proposed legislation, codes of practice, industry standards etc., as well as procedures and organisation necessary to comply with them 
Conducting risk assessments, development HS&E plans and other relevant documentation in support of the company's fleet 
Developing and maintaining systems and procedures to identify and improve the company's HS&E performance 
In co-operation with other departments, ensure that sufficient training and instruction in HS&E matters is provided so that members of the workforce understand the requirement to work safely in accordance with Company policies and procedures 
Liaison with external bodies such as enforcing authorities, legislative agencies, industry organisation, standard authorities etc., so that the Company is informed and can plan for change 
Carrying out internal and external safety audits of offshore worksites and any subcontractor activities 
Participating in HS&E investigation and reporting, together with providing recommendations and corrective actions where required 
Providing support to ensure that non-conformances, defects and deficiencies relating to HSE matters are reported, and that corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence 
Establishing and maintaining effective communication systems within OOS departments and our internal customers

Requirements:

The position is based in Aberdeen, with a certain amount of travelling involved both on and offshore 
A relevant HS&E qualification to NEBOSH certificate level and be working towards diploma level or equivalent 
STCW 95 certification for bridge or engine room operations 
At least 3 years of providing HS&E advice in a dynamic offshore marine environment within the construction industry 
Marine management experience obtained at a senior level in an offshore construction environment is desirable 
Candidates should possess an excellent working knowledge of UK HSE legislation and the application of this to subsea construction activities 
Candidates with marine background/experience are preferred 
Knowledge of ISM process is an advantage 
Demonstrates organisation and delivery of HSE specific training courses
