Responsibilities:
Implements and administers all major elements of the Company's insurance programmes on a
global basis under the broad direction by the
Senior Management
Provides appropriate cost effective insurance solutions and advice
Develop the existing captive insurance established by the Company
Negotiating and placing of insurance cover for specialist vessels and major equipment
Advising on all facets of risk insurance relating to the execution of major and minor sub-sea construction and maintenance activities
Responsibility for managing any claims and maintaining adequate insurance management processes including a full inventory of policies and cover
Ongoing validation and negotiation of policy renewals in collaboration with brokers and insurers to identify and evaluate risk exposures
Review proposals and draft contracts and inputs/comments on the liability, indemnity, and insurance sections to reduce the Company exposure to financial loss
Negotiates with customers and other parties on contract wording to limit Company exposure to
financial losses
The position has substantial autonomous responsibility for complex insurance matters and requires the ability to provide commercial solutions to insurance issues.

Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels

Good level of Secondary Education
Continuing Professional Development
Can articulate learning and training experiences
Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level in an equivalent position or with a broker / insurance provider.
Thorough knowledge of insurance with relevant experience in the insurance offshore, marine and energy sector.
Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
Must be proactive and motivated and able to work in a busy and dynamic environment. A smart appearance and strong inter personal skills are essential as is the ability to work in close association with professionals in other disciplines in the Company
Based in Westhill and may be required to travel between bases and overseas
Must be physically fit for required position subject to reasonable adjustments
