Responsibilities:
To establish & provide technical advice & interpretation regarding environmentally driven stategic policy matters, short and long term (in line with group policy)
To provide Policy positions, on the above, & details of any previous policy change, making these available on a central database, thus providing consistent data to management.
The jobholder will take a direct role in advising management on those environmetally driven changes to air quality & vehicles emissions legislation having a direct affect on fuel quality and company business.
The jobholder will take a lead role in contact and interaction with 3rd parties, this will include trade associations (UKPIA & EI), Total Group, as well as regulatory and policy making authorities.
To compete strategic studies on specific projects as required including economic analysis and financial evaluations
The jobholder takes an active role at both industry and governmental level on the impact of fuel quality on the environment, and the development of those fuel quality specifications that minimise that impact.
To meet these objectives, the jobholder works closely with all levels of staff in all parts of the Company, as well as contacts outside of the company.
The challenge is to develop an approach to dealing with all of these issues in an efficient and professional manner befitting of the companies national profile and in a way that contributes in no short order to overall profitability and sustainability.
Requirements:
Science Degree or equivalent &/or solid varied Oil Industry experience, for example, in areas of refining, logistics environmental impact, regulatory change or similar.
