Responsibilities:
This individual will provide a wide range of specialized 1st and 2nd level technical support including and not limited to, installation of personal computer and associated peripherals and accessories, personal computer preventative maintenance and minor repairs, software installation and updates on personal computers, responding to user support calls reported to the Help Desk, trouble shoot and resolve PC related hardware and software problems, investigates users’ upgrade requests and recommend solutions to the supervisor as appropriate, and provide PC training to users as needed. This also includes carrying out administrative work related to the technical support activities such as maintaining support calls records; taking and updating the IT inventory database, and preparing daily/weekly activities reports.
Requirements:
Ideal candidate will have completed of Secondary (12 year’s) education plus 2-3 years of formal training leading to MCSE 2003 & CCNA certification plus Microsoft certification together with 5 years in the support of personal computers both hardware and software with basic knowledge of networks and Good spoken and written English.
The incumbent will be technically skilled individual with responsibility for providing end-user support services. Must have high sense of responsibility and awareness of the criticality of the systems to users’ operations and is expected to respond to support calls any time including after-hours, holidays and weekend.
