Job Description
Assigned to a Project, she/he will provide the Project Manager and lead engineers with the information and assistance needed to manage the project execution in compliance with the objectives of the cost and revenue budgets and the Group’s standards in terms of project controls.
Directs the set-up of projects, the collection of data and information for reporting and analysis, takes ownership for the forecasting effort and the internal controls on a project in tight liaison with all disciplines and prepares the feedback dossier for the Estimating group.
Brings her/his expertise and technique in cost control to provide the PM with solutions/guidance on all cost-related issues and her/his management capabilities to be able to direct a cost control team and/or be the Lead cost/estimating person during project execution if and when required.
Can be assigned to supervise a series of projects controlled by Project Cost Controlled or Senior Project Cost Controllers or take the lead on a large project.
Lead Project Cost Controller II is expected to be able to supervise and administrate a group and take over the Project Controls Manager position on a medium-to-large project (note: Project Control Manager position being understood as a project specific position defined by the requirements of Technip USA’s Corporate organization).
Qualifications
Preferably Engineering Degree, Finance or Business Degrees also suitable. Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost control. Technical/project exposure as an engineer is a plus. Minimum 8 years of experience in the oil & gas services or construction or power generation industries.
