Our client is a Tier 1 Investment Bank with a highly performing European franchise headquartered in London. The investment banking division provides a market leading service through M&A, debt and equity. The particular requirement is for 2 Associates to join the Energy Group. Specifically, due to continued expansion and development within the Oil and Gas sector; the team is seeking to make these additions to focus on the Oil & Gas space ideally at the 2006 Associate level. Over the past three years, the group has been involved in some landmark transactions, especially in the emerging markets. They have made hires over the past couple years with a specific intention of bringing in people who can add to a very good team spirit. There has been a clear intention to hire talented bankers who can help create an atmosphere where people get on well and work hard together. Consequently, they will make additions with this very much in mind. The main appeal for joining this team would be the immediate exposure to deals. Successful applicants can be guaranteed a very high level of deal flow. Joining as an Associate, you would straight away be staffed on live deals and will quickly grow into a VP level banker.

his represents a superb opportunity to gain substantial transactional experience in a very active sector within a genuinely first tier team.
A solid investment banking background (including full analyst background as opposed to post-MBA entry) gained either at a tier 1 or strongly performing tier 2 institution;
A proven technical skill set developed through working on multiple completed transactions;
Industry knowledge of the Oil & Gas sector is useful although not essential, the team is more concerned with bringing in talented bankers with excellent technical skills.
