Job Description
Develop the Quality Plans and Audit Plans in accordance with the contract requirements, in liaison with the Quality Manager.
Ensure that all Project Personnel are aware of the Quality requirements and organise training sessions as needed.
Co-ordinate the preparation, establishment and implementation of the Project QC and Administration procedures as well as the
Inspection & Test Plans as referenced in the Project Quality Plan.
Establish Quality related manpower requirements, in conjunction with the Supply Chain Management (SCM), Fabrication and Operations
Departments for the scope of work.
Direct Quality, Inspection and Project Team personnel for establishment and continuity of Quality Standards throughout the Project.
Resolve and maintain log of Improvement Suggestions and Project Non Conformances.
Ensure equipment criticality ratings and/or Vendor Surveillance levels are evaluated with the relevant Engineering and SCM personnel and agreed with Acergy as required.
Ensure that a system is developed for the compilation of As-
Built records (including paper and electronic data) and that these are compiled to Client satisfaction.
Monitor and audit Project Quality related activities to ensure correct and effective implementation of the Project Quality Plan.
Assess Subcontractors and Vendors capability to meet the Quality requirements of the Project. Ensure that Project Quality requirements are clearly identified in Invitations to Bid and Purchase Orders.
After Award of a Subcontract, review Subcontracts Quality Plans to ensure correct interpretation of requirements and instigate quality audits as deemed necessary to verify implementation.
Ensure that the Project Manager is kept informed and aware of quality issues relating to the Project.
Assist in the establishment of a system for compilation of as-built dossiers.
Assist in establishing project’s quality plan(s) in accordance with contractual, regulatory and internal requirements.
Appointment of internal and Agency Quality Control personnel.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with other
Quality Professionals inside and outside Acergy to assure information exchange and mutual assistance.
Review of technical requisitions, and requisitions in general prior to release to ensure that the required QA and QC requirements are correctly defined.
Assist in the selection of competent and verifiable qualified inspection agencies as per company guidelines.
Manage the review and approval of Vendor Quality Assurance documentation.
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering & Equivalent, or
Minimum 3 years relevant experience of Quality Assurance & Quality Control Activities (preferably in Oil & Gas Industry)
Basic understanding of welding processes.
Inspection & Testing Processes applicable to the Offshore Services Industry.
Able to manage and co-ordinate personnel in matters of quality related issues.
Knowledge of industry codes such as: AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, Section V, API 1104 and API 5L, etc.
Certified as Internal and External Quality Auditor.
