Responsibilities:
This position provides human resources management systems (HRMS) data entry and support, first line contact for human resources and administrative support.
Duties must be performed consistent with company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures.
· This position is primarily responsible for the input of employee data for new hires, changes, terminations etc. and ensuring that the accuracy of the HRMS database is maintained to the highest possible standards.
· Contact managers or employees to verify information and ensure paperwork is completed and authorized in accordance with department policies and practices.
· Respond to incoming calls for HR, respond to basic inquiries and forward more complex matters to the appropriate individual.
· Create and run HR reports from the HRMS system as required.
· Respond to inquiries from third parties verifying employment details for past or current employees.
· Maintain records and files for HR.
· Provide assistance in preparing offer letters and standard department communication.
Qualifications:
· Human Resources certificate or diploma preferred
· Experience working with HRMS systems an asset
· Excellent organizational and coordination skills
· Strong interpersonal and excellent telephone manner with a professional customer service focus
· Strong attention to detail and an ability to detect data variances
· Maintain the highest level of privacy/confidentiality
· Proficient written and verbal communication skills
· Self motivated individual who works well independently and as part of a group/team
· Good problem solving skills and ability to assess work and determine next steps
· Thorough working knowledge of MS Office - including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
