Description:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Manager, Cost Control to join the Project Services, Project Controls department of a world-renowned London-based full service contractor primarily serving the hydrocarbon market with the capability to execute worldwide, international projects from conceptual feasibility studies to fixed price turnkey mega-projects.
Responsibilities:
As Manager, Cost Control reporting to the Manager, Project Controls you will be responsible for managing and allocating the staff of the Cost Group to ensure effective support of the company’s needs for Integrated Project Control Systems on Projects and Proposals.
You will also take responsibility for the production of responsive and reliable performance analysis and client and management project and status reports on all Projects and Proposals.
In addition, you will initiate plans for the improvement of company systems and procedures for project control and manage approved development work.
Overall, you will act as the co-ordinating and control focal point for project Cost expertise within the company and all significant cost problems and key decisions will be referred to you.
You will also provide guidance to project and proposal managers on planning systems, procedures and techniques and take an active role in deciding which applications and techniques will be utilised on specific projects.
Requirements:
Ideally a chartered Engineer qualified to degree level or equivalent, you will have extensive knowledge of engineering, procurement and construction operations and of the logical relationships and interdependencies between their activities.
You will also have substantial on and off-site management and operational experience, with some previous experience of managing a team of cost engineers.
Additional Information:
Salary/Rate: £25000 - £50000
