Overview
This position resides in Global Specialty Petroleum Coke and Licensing, and is responsible for monitoring and coordinating quality issues regarding the production of Specialty Coke at the Lake Charles refinery. The preference is that this position be located in Houston. Consideration will be given to Ponca City as the location, depending upon the candidates. The position reports to the Manager, Specialty Coke Technology.
Job Description
Track coke production quality and select coke for shipment to customers that meets their quality specifications (use of SAP system).
Calculate coke property control limits and customer specifications
Provide Certificate of Analysis (COA) of coke shipments to Customers
Customer contact for shipment issues
Maintain COA delivery metrics and analyze gaps
Process & Product Conformance
Maintain Product and Process Conformance Metrics and analyze gaps
Maintain Process Nonconformance spreadsheet
Investigate Process and Product conformance gaps and document results and path forward as requested
Support the maintenance and updating of the Plant Standards documentation and ensure their ongoing use
Develop work practices for refinery personnel to allow easy monitoring of Plant Standards
Perform audits of Plant Standards conformance
Participate in and perform yield and quality evaluations for test runs and document results and conclusions
Qualifications
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions
BS in engineering, material science, or chemistry
3 years (minimum) engineering or scientific experience
