Job Description
This is a key Finance position in a fast-paced, growing, highly visible company. This role is responsible for all project accounting activities in Canada, US & Mexico.
Develop and maintain rigorous project accounting and review procedures in line with Group policy.
Drive project profitability, efficiency and accountability through rigorous and detailed monthly project reviews with Project Managers.
Financially support project teams throughout the life of projects and improve Project Manager's understanding and control of project sales, margins and cash flow.
Enforce revenue recognition policy.
Coordinate month-end closing activities within NA FP&A & with NA Controller to include preparation of supplemental reports.
Manage and present product line Financials for management team.
Control and reconcile project related balance sheet accounts such as deferred charges, progress billings, and accrued/deferred income.
Take a key role in preparing forecasts budgets.
Review, monitor and advise about costing accuracy.
Manage all Capital and Non-Capital projects within Oracle project system.
Provide meaningful project measurement, analysis and feedback to management team.
Continuously seek means of simplification to drive efficiency and accuracy in processes.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
5+ years of accounting experience.
