Job Description
- This primary focus of this position is to evaluate current systems and processes that support the maintenance of the Human Resources Management System and make recommendation for improvement.
- The individual will serve as a technical point of contact for assigned functional areas and will assist subject matter experts by ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
- A major responsibility of the job will be to recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
- Will serve as a key liaison with third parties.
- Will use project management skills in execution of business initiatives.
- Will write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries.
Required Skills
- Key skills and abilities include a strong understanding of HR processes and data, a thorough understanding of HRMS database design, structure, functions and processes and experience with database tools.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint is a must.
- Experience with Peoplesoft is required.
- Experience with Sonic Recruit preferred.
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills (including written and verbal communication skills) are essential to the success of the position.
- Must have previous project management experience through active participation in system-related projects.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is required. PHR/SPHR certification preferred. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is a plus.
- Three to five years of HRIS or HR generalist or specialist experience, one to two years of project management experience is preferred, and report writing experience is required.
