Responsibilities:
Complete management of all product development' prototyping and manufacture / production of all VERIPOS products
Designing and maintaining the process for product development within VERIPOS
Identification and procurement of all resources, whether in-house or on a sub-contract basis, necessary for satisfying product development requirements as described above
Closely liaising with the VERIPOS Product Managers and marketing group relating to market research and associated information for the production of existing and future product definition
Preparation of all planning, technical, production, testing and all other documentation pertaining to the product development process
Management of all product certification including but not limited to production of compliance matrices and associated testing
Management of all subcontracting in the development and production process
Preparation of all subsequent supporting documentation for each product including, test procedures, parts lists, operator manuals, installation and maintenance manuals etc.
Fulfilling any other reasonable activity as instructed by the Managing Director.
Co-Coordinating Obligations
All Product Managers and Service Delivery Group relating to all aspects of product and service developments, associated customer feedback and findings from ongoing field evaluations and testing;
The Customer Services Group relating to product updates and modification to existing products and the site acceptance testing of new products
All subcontractors with respect to development and production
The Sales and Marketing Group relating to technically orientated documentation and material used for communicating technical matter to customers.
Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role
Articulates views in comprehensive manner
Produces work of presentable quality
Requirements:
Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
Possess excellent analytical skills and be able to produce high-quality technical reports, procedures and other similar documentation
Good organisational skills and smart working methods
Be educated to Degree level or above
Preferably in GNSS technology, RF Communications, Geomatics or other cognate subject or alternatively have extensive experience in related field.
Can articulate learning and training experiences
Proven experience involvement in or managing of a product development department
Preferable experience within a high-technology business and in support of technology-based products.
Self Managerial
Possess excellent management and delegation skills:
Manual handling
Must be physically fit for required position subject to reasonable adjustments
