Responsibilities:
Responsible for the full management of the tender handling process to ensure delivery of compliant and competitive tenders on time, and to ensure efficient processing of contracts;
Manage and lead the tendering effort of relevant tender team on each assigned tender from receipt through to contract award or loss;
Prepare concise and responsive tender document on each tender in response to all required client information thus enabling management to assess and approve the tender;
Ensure all tender solutions developed comply with client specifications including work/cost breakdown structures;
Manage resource plan and cost for assigned tenders;
Prepare and manage tender review matrices and tender schedules;
Liaise with supply chain management & project services for all procurement and service agreements;
Provide cost analysis and support the department administrator to correctly fulfil SAP requirements;
Provide tender follow-up and negotiations, in conjunction with the department’s management team;
On receipt of successful orders, audit against final bid, prepare hand over documentation and chair internal handover meeting;
Support project management with estimating various costs;
Requirements:
Educated to degree level or higher in a related subject preferred
Chartered engineer or equivalent status
Previous experience in tender and cost management within the subsea industry
Has had significant involvement in a similar role with a least five Subsea execution projects, of which at least two projects at manager level.
In depth understanding of the Oil and Gas Industry
General experience and understanding of multi-discipline projects, encompassing pipelines, risers, structures and control systems
Understand the specific issues arising from deep and shallow water developments and the associated constraints
Previous experience or familiarity with modifications to existing operational subsea / topside systems.
