Job Description:
Responsible for providing overall HR leadership, and strategic vision for all business unit human resources activities for the Material Handling Solutions business unit including providing HR management and support world-wide for the business. This position will have multi-site responsibilities including the newly acquired Technisys business in Salt Lake City Utah and close interface, coordination and involvement with the [Employer] facility in Changshu, China.
The position is accountable for designing and implementing cost-effective and risk-adverse HR strategies and programs that will meet the company's financial, operational and customer focused objectives. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring the success of the organization through the consistent administration of corporate policies & procedures, employment practices, and the establishment of programs for employee retention, development, advocacy, safety and welfare. The Position provides overall organizational leadership for company safety programs, organization efficiency/development, training, strategic planning, staffing, compensation and benefit administration. This is an MHS Staff level position, and as such, the individual in this position shares accountability, responsibility and ownership for the business’ commercial, financial and competitive success in the marketplace.
Required experience:
- Five to seven years’ generalist experience including organizational design and development, training, strategic planning, staffing, compensation and performance management.
- Must have solid employee relations experience, project/process leadership and experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have PC skills with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
- Should have experience with coaching for business results, empowerment of others, leading/managing change, relationship building/coaching, total quality management, high performance management and problem solving.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work in a team environment.
- Must model the behaviors defined by organizational beliefs, personnel policies and citizenship principles.
- Position requires the ability to deal with a variety of individuals with tact, excellent verbal, Presentation and written communication skills and experience dealing with confidential information. Ability to coordinate projects from start to finish desired.
