Overview
Participate as an integral team member on multi-disciplined asset/business teams seeking to improve performance and reporting.
Job Description
Provide timely and accurate analysis of monthly financial results to management, ensuring financial/accounting records are accurate and in accordance with company policy.
Provide routine and ad-hoc financial reporting to facilitate understanding of results in achieving the teams’ goals and strategies.
Coordinate preparation of the long-range plan and operating budget. Provide timely forecast updates for management awareness and decision-making.
Develop and implement policies and procedures as necessary for operations, with an emphasis on internal controls.
Ensure all monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate reporting requirements are fulfilled.
Liaise with JV partners, auditors and governments regarding financial activities of the entities as necessary.
Support start-up/shut-down activities as appropriate: set up legal entities, close inactive companies, etc.
Proactively interface with other finance groups for problem resolution and consistency.
Qualifications
BS degree in Finance or Accounting
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions
Direct experience in the integrated energy industry
Preferred Qualifications
Three years of direct experience in the integrated energy industry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work with and influence others, both internal (financial, technical, operational, management) and external (JV partners, external auditors)
Solid system experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint required; SAP and R3/BW a plus)
Strong communication skills (written, oral, presentation)
Ability to function independently; self-starter
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
