Overview
Leadership role in the analysis, design, programming, testing, deployment, maintenance, periodic enhancement and on-going support of custom-developed software applications with the use VB Net, C# Net, SQL Server and ASP.Net expert-level technical and functional analysis and programming services in Weatherford’s multi-company, multi-national environment. Position will maintain and support applications in support of classification and data cleansing activities. Position is also responsible for assisting Classification team in loading, exporting, mass changing, and validating data.
Job Description
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Participate in classification projects of legacy system data in preparation for conversion to Windchill and JD Edwards, as directed by the Process Owner.
Contribute in maintaining thorough, up-to-date, documentation on issues regarding the data to provide status updates to Process Owner / Project Management.
Periodic, project-oriented out-of-town and/or overseas travel may be required for legacy mapping, data loading and implementation purposes.
Potentially significant overtime hours may be required depending on project deadlines and overall business requirements.
Qualifications
Summary of Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree from four year college or technical (2 year) degree plus one to two years related experience or equivalent of education and experience.
Development knowledge of VB Net, C# Net, SQL Server and ASP.Net.
Knowledge of Classic ASP preferred.
3 years related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work in high pressure environment with tight timelines and abnormal working hours.
Basic knowledge MS/Windows operating systems.
Solid experience in the major PC-based productivity software applications including: spreadsheets, word processing, database management and report-writing software- particularly, knowledge of the Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
Self-starter with solid interpersonal skills - projecting a very positive, customer-service-oriented attitude. Able to exercise sound business judgment and discretion - maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to learn new software and/or applications quickly, utilizing tutorials, user guides and other documentation and training materials.
Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable working in a “matrix-management” environment with numerous indirect and project team reporting relationships.
Ability to work both alone and as a member of a cross-functional project team.
Thrives on challenging working environment with simultaneous priorities. Effective time manager - routinely called on to prioritize simultaneous tasks and report on project status.
Quality-oriented with attention to detail a must.
